Gavin Lavelle
Chief Executive Officer
Gavin joined Brady in September 2007, with over 25 years experience in the international financial software and banking industry. Having worked in investment banking for 10 years with Banque Paribas as Head of Equity Derivative Trading and latterly Director of Deutsche Bank where his responsibility was Global Head of Equity Derivative Trading, Gavin founded RioFin, a Cambridge based software development company focused on capital markets trading. Following RioFin’s acquisition in 2000 by SunGard he continued as Chief Executive Officer of Panorama, a leading risk management solution, before heading the take-over of Sherwood Systems, a leading insurance company, where he also had the role of Chief Executive Officer. Gavin holds a BSc in Maths and Computer Science from Southampton University.
Robert Brady
Chief Technology Officer
After obtaining his Ph.D in Physics from Cambridge University, Robert initially pursued his career in academia, including spending time working for the Naval Bureau of Standards in Boulder, Colorado supported by the US Office of National Research. He founded Brady in 1985 to build derivatives pricing models.
Daniel McEvoy
President, Brady USA, Inc.
Dan brings to Brady a distinguished combination of Sales, Business Development and Marketing expertise from more than 25 years in international trade, from both the corporate and banking side, including a wide range of commodities from trading, trade finance, derivatives and risk management gained at Cargill, Amalgamated Metal Corporation, Citibank and Credit Suisse. Dan holds a BA (Hons) Marketing and Finance from University of Cincinnati.
Brian Collins
Director, Product Management - Trading
A co-founder of Colplan Systems Limited in 1987, Brian has 20 years experience designing, developing, implementing & consulting on derivatives pricing and risk management software in a wide range of Commodity asset classes, but especially the base metals market. Brian became Managing Director of Colplan in 2001 and was appointed to the Board of Brady plc upon the acquisition of Colplan in June 2004.
Tony Ratcliffe ACA
Finance Director
Tony joined Brady and the Board in 2007. He brings a wealth of experience gained in high growth technology companies including Gemini Genomics plc where he led the successful $450m Nasdaq IPO and subsequent merger with Sequenom, i2 which enjoyed considerable growth leading to a merger with Choicepoint, realising some $100m in cash for shareholders. More recently, Tony established his own company, Consilium Financial Ltd, undertaking numerous projects including the financial management of venture capital backed companies and project management of UK and EC acquisitions for technology clients. Tony holds a BSc from the University of East Anglia and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and is a Chartered Accountant.
Brian Colgan
Head of Services, Americas
Brian joined Brady in 2007 bringing over 25 years experience in developing, implementing and supporting derivatives trading and risk management solutions for banks and exchanges worldwide, and has successfully delivered solutions to over 500 financial institutions worldwide. Prior to starting his own consulting business in 2002, his professional career included senior management positions at Alpha Strategies, FNX Limited and over 12 years with Sungard Capital Markets where for 8 years he led a software team generating over £30 million annual revenue. Brian is also a five-time US National Rowing Champion and a Silver Medalist in the Pan-American Games in 1983 & 1987 and was a contestant this year on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'.
Dave Parratt
Head of Services, Europe
Dave joined Brady in 1987 after completing a PhD in Geochemistry. Initially involved in development of Brady products Dave has undertaken a number of roles as the company has expanded. Currently he is involved in project scoping, analysis, and management. In addition to this, he is also responsible for developing the Brady project management services, to ensure all projects are monitored and controlled according to company standards and delivered to time and budget.
Jon Hobbs
Development Manager
Jon is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Brady product portfolio. He has an extensive background in development of business applications and project management. Jon joined Brady in 1994 where he has worked in a variety of technical and leadership positions. Jon holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing Mathematics.
Harry Knott
Systems Architect
Harry joined Brady 12 years ago after completing his MA. Harry has, over the years, held various development and consulting roles within Brady. He is currently responsible for the development, maintenance, and technical vision of the Brady product portfolio, as well as supporting clients through the implementation process for our Trinity product range. Harry has a BA (Hons) Engineering and MA Engineering from Cambridge University.
Sally Marshall
Customer Support Manager
As the Customer Support Manager at Brady plc, Sally has been responsible for the delivery and support of the Brady product line for 13 years. Prior to joining Brady, Sally spent almost 20 years in various support roles with Clerical, Medical & General Life Assurance, Cable & Wireless, Cambridge Computer Services Limited, Perthcrest and BIS Information Systems. Sally holds an HND in Computer Studies from Hatfield Polytechnic.
